Few other things from Target

Global Bazarr is your friend :) 75% off also. There was this huge wall hanging/mirror (2nd image) that i have been looking at since it ever went on the shelves. For a long time, Dh and I wanted some kind of burst hanging. Well this one is in the shape of a flower. I was shocked that Dh loved it just as much as i did, i mean what man loves a flower that will hang on the wall. Our bedroom is the only one that hasnt been totally redone. We want this to hang over our bed. Was $99 Now $24

The top mirror, i just could resist either and i have no idea where it will go. We will see what Dh says but i love the material the mirror is made out of. Was $80 Now $20. They also have it in round, now im wondering if i should have gotten round. Its not as yellowish as that picture makes it, its much more white in color.
I also bought a wall hanging that has a tree in it like a shadow box. I have this thing for trees i dont know what it is. Theres no image online for that but it was $8. Then i found a few knick knacks like decorative pieces and other things for my friends shower ;) Enjoy the clearance while its around!

Dining Rm. Table/Kitchen Tables

This one has a leaf.
This one does not have a leaf.

According to my husband, I will never find a table at this rate lol. We went to 4 stores on Saturday & Sunday. I have not found one that i even half like let alone one that i absolutely adore. We looked up one of our furniture stores online which we have not visited and I see one that i would probably "settle" for, but really should I? I know that it is just a table but I told Nick i really wanted to invest in one as opposed to buy a cheap one to replace in a year.

We were anticipating looking at houses this year, but in January decided that we would wait until next year. Since DH is uncomfortable with where the economy is, its the best choice for now and we do love where we live. The ammenities outrank everything else. So keeping that in mind, im trying to find a table with a leaf so it can be much larger in a house, but maybe im being unreasonable.

I really need some outside advice on this. My husband thinks just look for a table that can move into a kitchen. Our Dining Room, Kitchen, LR is all combined right now (apartment living at its best) so we cant have something too large. So my question is should I just give it up on the leaf thing and settle for a table that is just smaller (a 4 person table only) as opposed to looking at one that can expand to 6 people. I get what Nick is saying because if we were to get an official dining room table then what about the hutch and etc? Hes like you will want that stuff later on and it might not be available. I dont know im so confused. What i do know is that Ikea is not on the list for this table at all. I found 2 tables, one that has a leaf and one that doesnt. The one with the leaf im so iffy on and dont absolutely love it. The other one i have loved and continue to love but would have to risk ordering it online, site unseen. Top one has a leaf and is the "iffy" one, the bottom one has no leaf.
If you have any other ideas where i can look, im open to it. Our requirements were dark wood, square or rectangular and the option to have chairs without arms on it.

Target deals!!!

We went in with the intention or looking for some 8.5x11 plastic inserts for my Mom's recipe book. DH and I walked out with two huge bags of clearance. When I spot 75% off I dont hesitate for one second. I have always wanted to get a coverlet for our room during late spring into summer. This past summer was so warm we always ended up with the comforter on the floor. They had a set that was $80 marked down to $17! I would have preferred a different color but I ended up getting the navy & light blue reversible coverlet set. Most likely we will have the light blue showing most of the time. They also had an orange rust color, it was very fallish and pretty but would not go in our room at all. We also scored some throw pillows for our couch for spring & summer that were orig $16 marked down to $3.87. If you need a mattress cover, any comforters for guest rooms or anything definately check out target. Who would think that a former manager from target would still be shopping there years later!

Malma Mirrors!

This is not my own picture but the one of the only one's I was able to find. These are Ikea Malma mirrors. We bought four of these when we were in Ohio at the beg. of September. We love ours and one day soon ill take a pic of our own. We have them in our living room and they look so nice. I believe they were only 2.49/per mirror. They come in this dark brown or pine which you can paint. We chose the dark brown.

Projects are fun! Hurricane Candle Holder

I love crafting and making things for our house! I just wish we owned our first house already, someday soon we will. I went to Crafts Direct today after taking Dh some lunch. I purchased a bunch of small items and then found a new centerpiece for our coffee table. I will break down the cost to make it as well. I purchased the 8" hurricane, vinyl words, and candle. I already had the ribbons and crystals. Ignore our paper towels and toaster lol in the pic on the right.

*Make sure you clean the glass before placing the vinyl on the glass, they suggest you mark the glass and the back of the vinyl in order to align the words straight, i didnt need to do this.

*Rub the vinyl words with a popsicle stick to make sure it attaches to the adhesive tape, slowly pull off the backing and if need be rub each letter so that it attaches to the tape, sometimes when you are pulling it off some of the letters may stick to the other piece of paper.

* Place the words where you want them and push down in the center and out to each side to make sure there are no air bubbles. Pull off the paper and Ta Da!!

*Hot glue each piece of ribbon to the glass wherever you want it.

*Place candle in the center and pour crystals, rocks, stones, or anything you want around the candle. Thats it! You have something great for a coffee table, kitchen table, counter, shelf, or wherever you want to place it.

8 " hurricane $3.00- on sale

3x6 candle $3.25-on sale

Vinyl words $2.40 w/ store coupon

Crystals=free

ribbons=free

Total =$8.65

Decorating

My latest obsession is trying to decorate our apartment and make it feel like a home. No more blank boring walls!!! My recent find was Empire West Ceiling Tiles. The greatest thing is that you can order 3 samples for free and only pay shipping. I know shipping cost varies from state to state, but ours was 8.95 for all three by UPS. So they end up being about $3 a piece. I cannot wait to receive them. We are hanging one in our master bath in this design in Moss. We may have to paint depending upon the color. Many other nesties have used spray paint and it works beautifully. Hopefully this color will go wonderfully and then we wont have to paint it. The second one is for our bathroom and is called the Victorian Ceiling Tile. The top tile is the Florentine ceiling tile. We ordered two in this design but in sand and latte. We are planning on hanging one or both above the tv in our LR. Most likely we will paint them so they are are similar in color. Great deal for some wall art!!!
